Clachan Schools Project

Aims & Outcomes

The Glens of Antrim Historical Society’s objective is to conserve and preserve the cultural heritage of the Glens amongst the general public and especially the youth. The Clachan Schools project has been designed to offer teachers and children a meaningful context through which pupils can acquire and practise a variety of curricular skills while gaining a knowledge of their local area now and in the past.

As well as the ongoing work we are doing with schools we will produce a CD-ROM as a resource for teachers and a book with samples of the work school children have completed as part of this project.
